The posting, as the company wrote it
Schedule: full-time
Employment: permanent
Years of experience: 2-5
Your mission
Do you already have several years of development experience and want to take the next step—taking on more responsibility, delving deeper into architectural topics, and actively helping to shape systems?
Then this role might be a good fit for you:
You analyze existing applications and further develop them technically
You implement new backend components using Java (e.g., Quarkus)
You will develop and integrate synchronous (e.g., REST/JSON) and asynchronous interfaces (e.g., Kafka) into existing system landscapes
You will work on connecting and integrating legacy and new systems
You will assist with integration and system testing
You regularly coordinate requirements with customers and business departments
You actively participate in agile processes (sprint planning, reviews, user stories)
You contribute to technical design and architecture topics
Your profile
Here's what you bring to the table in terms of technical requirements: You have several years of experience (approx. 3–5 years) in software development using Java
You have experience with APIs and modern backend architectures
You also have basic hands-on experience with cloud technologies (e.g., Azure)
As well as knowledge of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, DB2)
You have experience with Git and common development processes (e.g., code reviews)
Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Mockito) is a plus
You have previously contributed to business and technical concepts
Knowledge of bill of materials (BOM) systems, e.g., from mechanical or automotive engineering, is helpful but not required
Your personal strengths include the following:
Analytical thinking and a structured approach to work
Initiative and a desire to further your professional development
Strong communication skills and a passion for teamwork
Fluency in German and English
Willingness to work on-site at our office once a week for team day

Our additional benefits: Fair Compensation & Full Flexibility: Competitive salary, flexible work hours with a work-time account, and part-time options. You decide how much time you spend working in the office or remotely.
