ABOUT SIGNOZ
SigNoz is an open source observability platform built on OpenTelemetry: logs, metrics and traces in one tool. It's designed for an era where agents and humans run observability together. We are a YC company with 32K+ GitHub stars, used by engineering teams in many countries.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You own sales for India, APAC and Europe: from the first reply to a signed contract, a smooth migration and the first expansion.
This is not a hand-off role. You run discovery and the demo yourself, answer the technical questions you can. A forward deployed engineer helps on complex proofs of concept, but you run the deal.
Being based in India lets you cover APAC mornings and European afternoons.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN
1. Pipeline. Respond to inbound leads (demo requests, high-potential sign-ups, self-hosted users who need an enterprise license) within one business day, and get them on a call. Run outbound to target accounts, reaching several people per account.
2. Discovery and demo. Find out what triggered the search, the hard constraints (self-hosted or cloud, data residency, volume, budget), who decides and by when. Then pitch within those constraints.
3. Closing. Size deals from real usage, write the proposal, run a proof of concept with clear success criteria, and get through security reviews, DPAs and procurement.
4. The first 90 days of the customer. See the customer through onboarding and migration off their old tool
5. Forecast hygiene. Every call ends with a booked next step. HubSpot is up to date every week, with realistic close dates.
6. Voice of the customer. Bring patterns from deals back to product and marketing.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
- 30 days: You can demo SigNoz end to end on your own (traces, logs search, dashboards, alerts, cloud vs self-hosted). You know our pricing well enough to size a deal. You've taken over all inbound for your regions.
- 90 days: You've closed your first deals and run discovery and demos without backup. Your pipeline is real, and the forecast matches what closes.
- 12 months: You consistently hit your number and have a repeatable playbook for India, APAC and Europe that the next AE can pick up.
WHO WE THINK FITS
- 4-8 years in customer-facing technical roles at a B2B devtools, cloud, data or observability company. Experience as a sales engineer, solutions architect or consultant, or technical account manager preferred
- You've sold to technical roles. You can name deals you closed or were the technical lead on: their size, the competition, and what you did to win.
- Ability to understand technical terms and concepts like Kubernetes
- You write and speak clearly, in a few words.
BONUS POINTS
- Experience at an observability or data infrastructure company
- You've been an early sales hire at a startup
WHY SIGNOZ
- A product engineers already choose. Most deals start with a team that is already using SigNoz or open source.
- Own a region. You set the playbook for India, APAC and Europe.
- Work directly with the founders. Fully remote, backed by YC and leading Bay Area VCs.
