Stylist (Food Photography)

Employment: Full-time Experience: Mid-Senior level The Stylist is responsible for preparing, styling, and presenting food and at times hard goods for photography and video productions. This role partners closely with photographers, producers, art directors, chefs, and clients to create visually compelling imagery that aligns with brand standards and creative objectives. The ideal candidate combines culinary expertise, artistic vision, and meticulous attention to detail to consistently produce high-quality presentations in a fast-paced studio environment. Responsibilities: Prepare, style, and maintain food and goods for photography, print, video, and digital content productions Interpret creative briefs and collaborate with photographers, art directors, and clients to achieve desired visual outcomes Select ingredients, props, garnishes, and presentation elements that enhance the visual appeal of food products Ensure food remains camera-ready throughout shoots by managing freshness, texture, color, and presentation Execute multiple food setups efficiently while adhering to production schedules and deadlines Modify and adjust styling based on client feedback, shot requirements, and creative direction Manage food preparation, sourcing, shopping, and inventory of ingredients and styling supplies Maintain an organized, clean, and food-safe studio environment Coordinate with producers, photographers, and studio management to ensure all food and styling needs are met prior to shoots Stay informed of food trends, plating techniques, and visual merchandising best practices Assist in developing styling standards and documentation to ensure consistency across projects Support both still photography and motion/video productions as needed Requirements 2+ years of food styling experience in a commercial photography studio, advertising agency, production company, or related environment Strong understanding of food preparation, presentation, and styling techniques Portfolio demonstrating high-quality food styling across a variety of categories and brands Knowledge of photographic principles and how food appears on camera Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Familiarity with prop styling and set preparation Capable of performing physical tasks, including lifting and transporting items up to 25 pounds throughout the studio environment Benefits On top of a competitive salary, you can expect a whole lot of perks: Unlimited PTO after 90-days of employment Paid holidays Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision 401k with employer matching (after 1 year of service) Referral bonus for bringing great talent to the organization A savings discount plan on entertainment, hotel stays, travel, shopping, and more! Relocation assistance will be provided if necessary In accordance with applicable pay-transparency laws, the compensation range for this role reflects a good-faith estimate based on factors including internal equity, relevant experience, skills, qualifications, geographic location, and market data. Final compensation will be determined at the time of offer. Range: $75,000-$82,000 USD annually.
