About Attain
Built for consumers and companies, alike. In a world driven by data, we believe consumers and businesses can coexist. Our founders had a vision to empower consumers to leverage their greatest asset—their data—in exchange for modern financial services. Built with this vision in mind, our platform allows consumers to access savings tools, earned wages and rewards without cost or hidden fees. In exchange, they give permission to use their real-time data for research, insights and targeted advertising.
At Attain, your contribution will help us build a more equitable and efficient data sharing ecosystem—whether helping consumers access modern financial services or businesses leverage data to achieve better outcomes. You'll have the opportunity to work directly with hands-on leaders and mission-driven individuals everyday.
About the Role
We're hiring a Manager/Director of Strategic Finance to lead our most important financial and operational initiatives. You'll partner closely with the VP of Strategic Finance and executive team to drive financial planning, business forecasting, scenario analysis, and strategic initiatives around growth, capital allocation, and value creation.
This is a role for someone who combines financial acumen with strategic thinking and excellent cross-functional influence. You'll own the financial frameworks and analysis that guide company strategy—from unit economics and KPI management to capital planning and M&A evaluation. You'll serve as a trusted advisor to the business, translating complex financial data into clear, actionable insights that shape strategy.
You're equally comfortable building sophisticated financial models, presenting to the board, and working across product, operations, and go-to-market teams. You have strong judgment about what matters, and you can cut through complexity to find the insights that drive decisions.
This position will be based out of our Chicago, IL office and work in-person (4-days per week in office).

Expert-level capabilities in Excel and PowerPoint
Strong experience presenting financial information to executives and board members

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with ability to synthesize data into clear recommendations
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with ability to distill complex topics for different audiences
Ability to operate with high degree of tact and diplomacy in a fast-paced, politically nuanced environment
Comfortable managing ambiguity and taking ownership of projects with limited oversight

Lead strategic finance projects around annual budgeting, long-term forecasting, capital planning, and business case development
Partner with business leaders across the organization to evaluate ROI, financial impact, and strategic fit of major initiatives
Build and evolve unit economic frameworks and KPI dashboards to drive continuous improvement and inform business decisions
