Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in banking and financial services to lead and deliver complex business and technology transformation initiatives within a global financial institution. The ideal candidate will combine solid project management expertise with a good understanding of financial processes, banking operations, regulatory requirements and risk management. The role requires excellent stakeholder management skills, a structured approach to delivery and the ability to operate effectively in a complex, international environment. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end project delivery, ensuring initiatives are completed on time, within scope and budget, and in line with agreed quality standards. Manage complex transformation and change initiatives across Finance, Technology, Operations, Risk and Compliance functions. Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, budgets, resource allocations and delivery roadmaps. Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage dependencies across business and technology workstreams. Establish effective project governance, including status reporting, steering committee updates, risk and issue management, and escalation processes. Work closely with senior stakeholders to align project objectives with business priorities and strategic goals. Identify, assess and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with internal controls and relevant regulatory requirements. Support business process improvements, operational efficiency initiatives and technology-driven transformation. Facilitate requirements gathering, solution design, testing, implementation and transition into business-as-usual operations. Drive stakeholder engagement, change management and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle. Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of experience in Project Management , preferably within banking, financial services or financial consulting. Proven track record of delivering complex business, regulatory or technology transformation projects. Strong understanding of banking operations, financial processes and the regulatory environment. Experience working with Finance, Risk, Compliance, Operations and Technology stakeholders. Solid knowledge of project management methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery approaches. Strong experience in project planning, budget management, governance, RAID management and executive reporting. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities in a global, matrix organisation. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and presentation skills. Experience working with distributed, cross-functional and international teams. Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Excel and PowerPoint. Fluent English, both written and spoken. Nice to Have Experience in financial transformation, regulatory change, financial reporting or banking technology modernisation. Knowledge of banking products and processes, including payments, liquidity management, lending or financial controls. Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance frameworks. Experience in process optimisation, automation or digital transformation initiatives. Project management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, AgilePM or Scrum. Previous experience in a global banking organisation or consulting environment.
