The posting, as the company wrote it
Validio's agentic data management platform automates data observability, quality, lineage, and cataloging, helping enterprises trust and use their data at scale for analytics, AI, and reporting. Serving data and AI-driven enterprises globally, Validio enables them to unlock competitive advantage through high-quality data in the AI era. As our Finance Operations Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of Validio’s financial data, while providing the financial insights and operational support needed to drive informed decision-making and business growth.
Your main task will be to keep the finance engine running day-to-day including through accounting, payments, month-end close, and payroll support, whilst also building the systems and processes that let finance scale with a fast-growing Series A company expanding internationally. Reporting to our Head of Finance, you'll be expected to take ownership without waiting for a playbook, paving a path forward for the processes and your role to grow as Validio grows.
What you'll do
- Own day-to-day accounting and work closely with local partners to ensure a smooth month-end close
- Run the payment flow end-to-end: supplier invoices, approvals, payment runs, and expenses
- Manage the accounts receivable process
- Support payroll and people costs together with our payroll providers
- Together with local partners in our expanding jurisdictions, oversee VAT and statutory filings, and be a key partner to our auditors at year-end
- Drive finance system implementations and automate the repetitive manual work out of our processes
- Document processes and build controls that keep us aligned, audit-ready without slowing the business down
- Support with reporting, forecasting, or wherever finance needs you next as Validio scales
What you'll bring
- 4+ years in accounting or finance, ideally combining time at an accounting or audit firm with an in-house role at a fast growing company
- Hands-on accounting skills reflecting your ability to own the ledger, reconciliations, and close
- Solid knowledge of accounting, VAT, and payroll-related rules
- Experience with modern accounting and finance tools, and a genuine interest in automation
- Strong spreadsheet skills and a good attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal English
- A process mindset, you document and systematize rather than solve the same problem twice
- The autonomy to prioritize your own work without detailed instructions, and the appetite to take on more as Validio grows
Bonus points for
- Experience with fast-growing startups or SaaS companies, where you wore several hats and thrived
- Experience with finance system implementation and international multi-entity structures
